Atopic dermatitis, or eczema, is a skin condition that usually appears in early childhood and affects people with a genetic susceptibility. The skin becomes red, dry and itchy and may weep. Damage to the skin barrier allows moisture to escape and allergens and infection to enter. In response, the immune system produces skin inflammation. Eczema is not contagious.




Eczema, the most common type of skin inflammation (dermatitis), refers to several conditions that share a pattern of changes in the surface of the skin. Eczema first appears as an episode of itching and redness of the skin. You also may have tiny bumps or blisters. When it develops into a long-term condition (chronic eczema), it leads to thickening skin, scaling, flaking, dryness and
color changes.

There are many types of eczema, depending on the cause, shape and location of the rash. Most are related to allergies or to contact with irritating chemicals. Some are associated with underlying medical conditions that cause fluid retention in the legs. In the United States, eczema affects approximately 10% of the population.





Symptoms:

Short-term symptoms of eczema include itchy skin, redness and tiny bumps or blisters. If these symptoms remain untreated, the skin can become thick, scaly and dry, with areas of hair loss and color changes. Skin affected by long-term eczema is more vulnerable to secondary infections, usually caused by bacteria. Each type of eczema has specific characteristics and pattern of symptoms.




Home Remedies for Eczema:

1. Grind basil, one tablespoon of olive oil, two garlic cloves, salt and pepper. Smear on the infected area.

2. Mix 1/2 a tablespoon of turmeric and half a cup of water and drink.

3. Eat pesto sauce: Grind basil leaves, add olive oil, garlic and some salt and pepper.

4. Soak your feet in vinegar and hot water (1:4) for 20 minutes, twice a day.

5. Fill up a warm tub and add walnuts leaves in. sit in the tub for a while. Do not add anything else.

6. Mix half a teaspoon of turmeric to half a glass of water and drink.

7. Squeeze basil leaves and apply on the infected area.

8. The most important thing is to keep your feet dry. When you get out of the shower dry your feet with a hair dryer.

9. Wear sandals, the sun will kill the eczema.

10. If you wear socks make sure to change them every day.

11. Soak a cotton wool pad in bleach and apply on nails 5-6 times a day. After 2 weeks you will notice the difference.

12. Mix Red Henna with boiling water until you get a mixture, Smear on the afflicted area. Leave for 30 minutes and wash. Repeat after 3-4 hours if needed. Also can repeat after 3-4 days if you still have the eczema.

Home Remedies for Blackheads | Blackhead Treatment


Blackheads are very common in young People but many of them do not know what they are.This is not a serious Problem for it leaves no permanent effect.However,taking regular care of the skin can prevent them.
Blackheads are follicles that have wider opening than the usual and are also known as open comedones and are frequently caused by over active sebaceous glands. Blackheads particularly appear on the face, back, chest and other parts that have sebaceous glands. The remains created in are mainly responsible for providing black colour to the blackheads.



Causes:

The main reason of black heads is the oily skin. The outside conditions are also a main factor which affects the origination of black heads. Lack of hygienic condition may also contributes in worsening the condition.


Home Remedies:

* Make a paste of ground radish seeds with water and apply on face to get rid of blackheads. This works as the super natural home remedy for blackheads.

* A packet made with crushed potatoes packed in thin cloth (poultice) is quite effective in treating black heads.

* Warm honey and apply on the blackheads, wash the face after 10-15 minutes.

* Steaming is also beneficial as it opens and softens the pores for easy removal of blackheads.

* Fenugreek leave commonly known as methi in India are made into paste form by crushing it. It is then applied on face and the left untouched for 20 minutes then wash your face with luke warm water.

* Ground drumstick pods and leaves and mixed with fresh lime juice, and apply on blackhead and dark spots an efficient and easy to made home remedy for blackhead.

* Almond powder mixed with rose water and made into a fine paste. Now this paste is applied on black heads to see the marvelous results in black heads and other skin ailments.

* Mix the paste of tender neem leaves with turmeric and apply on the affected area. This is good blackhead remedy.

* Applications of beated white of egg on face and then wash it with luke warm water. After wards scrub your face dry with a clean towel. It helps in loosening of the black heads.

* Application of undiluted lemon juice 2-3 times a day on the affected areas will remove blackheads.

Dark circles are a very common skin problem, which is troubling every second person in today's stressful lifestyle. People get rarely any time to get proper sleep and they lack of nutritional diet also, which is one of the many reasons of getting dark circles. Many people inherit this dark circle problem where they get it for no other reason.



People who face this dark circle problem can try certain easy remedies to reduce the darkness of the circles but none of them promises to diminish the circles completely. One needs to sleep properly and eat healthy diet to diminish the dark circles from the face. Some cosmetic creams promise to reduce the dark circles but they might give you puffiness around your eyes.

Reasons of Dark Circles:

* Vascular inflammation caused by enlarged blood vessels beneath the thin skin under your eyes. Staying up late and allergies can cause the inflammation.

* The bone structure of your face and add shadows under your eyes, making them look even darker then they are. This mostly affects people with deep set eyes.

* The third reason is hyper pigmentation, a condition that is passed on through genetics.



Treatment for Dark Circles:

* Take proper sleep. At least 8 hours sleep is must for an adult to keep the body and mind fit and to keep the dark circles at bay.

* Drink plenty of fluids at least 2 liters of water a day to keep the skin smooth and supple.

* Eat healthy nutritional diet. Include dairy products in your diet and consume green vegetables and fruits in your daily diet. Food rich in iron helps in reducing dark circles because eat times one gets them because they lack iron in their body and consuming sufficient iron and reduce the dark circles.

* Potato juice has bleaching agents in it, so you can take potato juice out and apply it on your skin. You can soak cotton balls in the juice and can keep them on your eyes for at least 20 minutes while having rest. It helps in reducing the dark circles.

* Grated cucumber juice is very useful for dark circles. You can apply it on the eyes the same way you apply potato juice.

* Tea water too reduces the puffiness and dark circles of the eyes and rejuvenates the eyes by refreshing them. You can boil tea in water and restrain the leaves. You can refrigerate this water in the freeze to make ice cubes. Keep these ice cubes on the eyes in a cotton cloth for 20 minutes.
* Always go out in sun wearing sunglasses and after applying sunscreen lotion on the skin around the eyes.

* Take a teaspoonful of milk powder and apply honey to it. Put this paste on the skin on the dark circles. It helps in reducing the dark circles.

* In the night apply a good company's under eye gel or cream to reduce the darkness around the eyes.

* You can hide your dark circles with a lighter shade of conceler when putting make up on your skin.
