* Make a paste from sandalwood and limejuice, apply on the affected area it will gives relief from itching.

* Application of mashed almond leaves to the affected area is highly helpful.

* Application of mashed papaya seeds on the area decreases itching.

* Intake of vitamin C reduces the probability of allergies. 1000mg of the vitamin is advisable daily.

* Smoking and heavy alcohol consumption must be restricted.

* Take a glass of water with two tablespoons of cider vinegar.

* Avoid processed meats and pre packed frozen dishes.

* Use Aloe Vera gel to cool and sooth the affected areas on the skin.

* Use regular ice cubes to cool the burning sensation of the skin.

* Do minor to moderate exercise such as swimming, walking, or a light job.

* Mix two teaspoons of lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey in a cup of warm water and take it twice in day for curing arthritis.

* Eat half a teaspoon of guggulu twice a day after meals with warm water as guggulu(it is a herb) is helpful in curing arthritis.

* Make a paste of 1 teaspoon red chilies and fresh ginger in half a cup of sesame oil and strain. Gently rub this oil on the painful joints.

* Add half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder to one tablespoon of honey and take it every morning on empty stomach. Repeat this daily for one month.

* Prepare garlic paste and apply it on the affected area. It is an effective home remedy for arthritis.

* Rub sandalwood paste or hot vinegar on affected area. It will help in getting relief from joint pain.

* Eat fruits rich in Vitamin C as it is an effective natural cure for rheumatoid arthritis.

* Take a cup of papaya seed tea 6-7 times daily for two or three weeks. It will give relief from joint pains.

* Add 1 tablespoon of cod liver oil to the juice of 1 orange, and drink it before going to bed. It will relieve your arthritis pain.

* Massage the affected joint area with herbal oil slowly and gently. It will help in the movement of joint and also relieve pain.

People overall are experiencing knee pain, most commonly caused by arthritis, in people as young as their 30's when at one time, this was associated mainly in the elderly. * Oil massages have traditionally been hailed as the ideal treatment for aches and pains. Take half a cup of oil, you can use coconut or olive oil, warm it up slightly and massage it onto the affected knee.

* The R.I.C.E treatment is highly recommended when knee trouble flares up. This program of resting the knee, applying ice, compression and keeping the leg elevated and burden free, helps ease the pressure on the knee.

* Ginger is also one of the best methods in the treatment of joint pains. It must be included freely in the daily diet of the person. Tea made with ginger in it is also beneficial.

* Massage the joints with a mixture of camphor, eucalyptus oil and menthol before going to bed.

* Have a glass of carrot juice early in the morning. Continue this till you find reduction in the pains, which should happen within a week.

* Have a bath with warm water every morning. This facilitates proper blood circulation.

* Nutritional supplements like glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate, niacinamide (vitamin B3), S-adenosyl-methionine (SAMe), and vitamin E may also be useful in treating knee pain due to osteoarthritis.

* Make hot paste from seeds of Black phaseolus, leaves of Rasna, Sandal, Castor and Country mallow to be applied on the affected joint.

* You can also make a warm paste by using wheat, castor and turmeric mixed in goat's milk or ghee (a type of clarified butter) on the affected area.
