Eyes Become Discomfort When Work in Computer | Computer Vision Syndrome

Computer Vision Syndrome describes a group of eye and vision related problems that result from prolonged computer use. Many individuals experience eye discomfort and vision problems when viewing a computer screen for extended periods. The level of discomfort appears to increase with the amount of computer use.

Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is "the complex of eye and vision problems related to near work which are experienced during, or related to, computer use." For the computer user, that translates to red, itchy, watery, irritated eyes, along with eye fatigue, difficulty focusing, and a variety of other problems.

Symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome:

• Back/neck aches

• Blurred vision

• Double vision

Computer Vision Syndrome symptoms are usually temporary during times of visually intense computer tasks.

Causes of Computer Vision Syndrome:

• Poor lighting

• Glare on the computer screen

• Improper viewing distances

• Poor seating posture

• Uncorrected vision problems

• A combination of these factors

Preventing Computer Vision Syndrome:

1 Have your eye muscles tested once a year.

2 If you use contact lens, take care not to over wear the lenses.

3 Don’t be too close or too far from the monitor. Maintain a distance of 20-24(18-28) inches from the eye to display.

4 Adjust the monitor’s brightness, contrast and flicker rate as appropriate.

5 Use glasses with an anti-reflective coating.

6 Use indirect lighting and eliminate exterior light and reflections by closing drapes or blinds.

7 Take a break every 20 minutes and look outside your window or at a distant object for 20 seconds.

8 Make top of the monitor slightly farther from the eyes than the bottom of the monitor.

9 Make sure that use dark letters in a light background.

10 Blink at least 15 times per minute while working on the computer.

* Soak your anal area in plain warm water 10 to 15 minutes two to three times a day.

* Drinking chamomile tea several times a day.

* Prune juice is also good during pregnancy to help reduce hemorrhoids.

* Apply ice packs or cold compresses on your anus to relieve swelling.

* Taking herbs and dietary supplements to strengthen vein walls.

Nasal Congestion Remedies | Relieve Nasal Congestion

Nasal congestion is the blockage of the nasal passages usually due to membranes lining the nose becoming swollen from inflamed blood vessels. It is also known as nasal blockage, stuffy nose. Many people think that a nose gets congested (stuffy) from too much thick mucus. This is incorrect.

* Boil some water in a container and cover your head and face with a towel. Now, bend over the boiling water and inhale the steam for 7 to 10 minutes from your nose and mouth. Do this for 3 to 4 times daily.

* Take two tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a pan and heat until it begins to steam. Inhale the vapor to open the nasal passage.

* Drink some hot broths like vegetable and chicken soups mixed with lots of black pepper, hot chocolate etc.

* Peppermint oil is also an excellent ingredient to decongest the nasal passage. Take two drops of peppermint oil in a cotton ball and then breathe deeply.

* You can also try having 1 or 2 tsp of horseradish sauce to get immediate relief.

* Take bath in warm water to get relief from nasal congestion. Steam bath is also very good.

* Taking a whiff of an onion causes stimulation in the nose that leads to runny results and temporary unblocked congestion.

* Take in plenty of fluids throughout the day. Drink as much of water, tea and fruit juice as much as possible, throughout the day.

* Take a handful of carom seeds and grind into powder. Take the powder in a piece of cotton cloth and tie it. Place this near the pillow.

Bedwetting Solution | How to Stop Bed Wetting

Bedwetting, is involuntary urination while asleep after the age at which bladder control usually occurs. Nocturnal enuresis is considered primary (PNE) when a child has not yet had a prolonged period of being dry. Secondary nocturnal enuresis (SNE) is when a child or adult begins wetting again after having stayed dry.

Bedwetting is also known as nighttime incontinence or nocturnal enuresis. Generally, bedwetting before age 6 or 7 isn't cause for concern. At this age, nighttime bladder control simply may not be established. Bedwetting is the most common childhood urologic complaint and one of the most common pediatric health issues. Most bedwetting, however, is just a developmental delay not an emotional problem or physical illness.

Bed Wetting Causes:

The cause is likely due to one or a combination of the following:

* The child cannot yet hold urine for the entire night.

* Child's bladder may not be developed enough to hold urine produced during the night.

* The child produces a large amount of urine during the evening and night hours.

* The child has poor daytime toilet habits. Many children habitually ignore the urge to urinate and put off urinating as long as they possibly can.

* Some kids don't produce enough anti-diuretic hormone (ADH) to slow nighttime urine production.

Bed Wetting Prevention:

* Before going to bed, remind your child to use the bathroom.

* To increase comfort and reduce damage, use washable absorbent sheets, waterproof bed covers, and room deodorizers.

* Before going to bed, limit the fluid intake.

* Reassure and encourage your child often. Do not make an issue out the bedwetting each time it happens.

* Never give drinks with caffeine like cola’s and teas as this increases the urine flow.

* Ask your child to hold his/her urine for a few minutes once a day past the feeling of first full bladder.

* To increase comfort and reduce damage, use washable absorbent sheets, waterproof bed covers, and room deodorizers.

Bedwetting Remedy:

* Cranberry juice juice is given an hour before going to bed and is the best remedy for bedwetting.

* Try to avoid sweets, meat, artificial additives and too much of fruits.

* Along with two walnuts, give a child one teaspoon of raisins before going to bed.

* Bedwetting can also be treated using herbs like causticum, lycopodium, ursi, corn silk and pulsatilla.

* Chewing of cinnamon bark once a day helps to reduce the frequency of bedwetting.

* Drink herbal tea made from herbs like oak bark, horsetail, wormwood or bearberry.

* Take Neo tablets (Charak) in the dose of 1 to 2 tablets daily for at least two to three months. This is a good home remedy for bedwetting.

* Make children understand that remaining dry is good and praiseworthy. Bedwetting is bad and so shameful.

* During winter season take care to put your child enough warm clothes so that they remain warm and urinate less.

* Kids sometime fear the dark and avoid going to the bathroom. For this reason make sure that you keep the nightlight on in your kid's room.

* Massage inner thigh of the patient with St. John’s wort oil.
